The Shakti Story
The Shakti Meditation Chair was born out of necessity — and a moment that changed everything.
In 2014, after years of pushing through divorce, upheaval, and the relentless pressure of running a business alone, my health broke down. Months of headaches led to a serious neurological finding — chronic stress was literally affecting my brain. My doctor told me I needed to find a way to stop my mind. Not just slow it down. Stop it.
What followed was a ten-day silent Vipassana meditation retreat I nearly didn't attend, and nearly left on day one. But I stayed — and it changed my life. My headaches disappeared. My body softened. I came home a different person.
I began meditating every day and never looked back. When a meditation teacher later asked if we could design a meditation chair in Bali, the seed was planted. Over several years, I refined the design, added chakra crystals, and poured everything I'd learned about stillness and healing into every detail.
The result is the Shakti Meditation Chair — a sacred space you can return to every single day. Designed with intention. Made with love.
