How does it work?

Restor-A-Finish is a unique finish-penetrating formula that restores the original colour and lustre to your finish while blending out the blemishes and minor scratches. Restor-A-Finish cleans the surface and restores the finish in one step - without removing any of the existing finish.

Restore It - Don't Strip It!

With a simple wipe-on, wipe-off process, most finished wood surfaces that seem to need a refinishing job can be completely restored in a few minutes. White heat rings and water marks, sun fade, oxidation, smoke damage, and most other blemishes can be quickly eliminated. Before you go to the extreme of stripping it, try restoring it!

Treat Scratches, Nicks, and Abrasions

Restor-A-Finish works best when applied with a small pad of towelling, or for severe white rings and crazing, with Super Fine (0000) steel wool. DO NOT pour directly on the finish. When using steel wool, always rub with the grain of the wood. First, determine the pressure you should use on an inconspicuous spot, as the hardness of finishes vary.

White Heat Rings and Water and Smoke Damage

Apply Restor-A-Finish (see above) with steel wool and rub hard enough with the grain of the wood to blend out the white effect. If high gloss finish should appear dull due to the use of steel wool, polish it out with Howard Restor-A-Shine polishing compound.

Revive Wood Finishes

Wipe on the appropriate colour of Restor-A-Finish with a clean cloth. Let it stand for a few minutes then wipe dry. You may be able to darken your finish by applying a darker colour of Restor-A-Finish and leaving it on for a few minutes longer before wiping dry.

Raised and Blistered Finishes

Apply Neutral Restor-A-Finish (to prevent darkening of wood beyond temporary "wet effect") with steel wool. As blisters soften press down while the Restor-A-Finish is applied. Wipe dry, and again later if the surface "blooms" with excess Restor-A-Finish.

Restore Minor Crazed or Checked Finishes

Apply Restor-A-Finish with Medium Grade (00) steel wool. Rub hard enough to smooth out the finish, periodically checking your progress. Checked or crazed surfaces may absorb an excess of Restor-A-Finish and "bloom out" requiring another wiping later.

Treat Carved Wood

Restor-A-Finish has saved many hours of labour by chemically cleaning and restoring the finish on carved portions of furniture and clocks. Simply apply Restor-A-Finish with a small paint brush or soft tooth brush and wipe off.

Tips

Be careful to protect fabric, carpets, and linoleum when applying Restor-A-Finish. It may leave a permanent stain. If spilling occurs, immediately scrub areas with straight liquid detergent or stain remover and wipe dry. Be sure to cover a small area at a time when applying Restor-A-Finish. Always wipe dry. DO NOT apply Restor-A-Finish to the new imitation wood finishes or use it under polyurethane finishes as a stain!

Covid-19 Delivery Update

Due to the current situation around the world we are still shipping out. In the event that we are closed and unable to ship we will ship your orders at the earliest time possible. In the meantime orders are still being processed and going out daily. Please allow for extra time on your deliveries if the situation progresses. We reserve the right to extend delivery time in the event that we are required to close for a period or Aus Post uncontrollable timeframes by Aus Post.

Australian Deliveries - Non fragile small items under 20kgs

International Deliveries - Non Fragile small items under 20kgs

Bali Abundance use Australia Post to courier our items internationally.

Mirrors

If you require freight of one of our mirrors please contact us on (03) 90772357 or hello@baliabundance.com.au for a Pack N Send Quote which includes fragile packaging and insurance. We require your suburb and postcode for accurate quotation.

Crating - Basin's, Pots, Statues

If you would like to arrange transport of these item to a rural or interstate location, we have found that a custom crate and ordinary transport provider may be a cheaper option than a removalist. For a Fee of $25.00 we will bubble wrap and build a custom timber open crate.

Please contact us with your suburb and postcode if you would like a courier quote. You are transporting this item at your own risk; we will do everything possible to secure the item within a crate to withstand transit.

Returns and Refunds Policy

What make our products unique to the market are the materials and craftmanship of recycled or aged wood. We do not provide refunds for any reasonable detrition, discolouration or natural defects in the items purchased as this is what creates character. Majority of our furniture is made from Tropical Hardwood species; some minor cracking for the dry climate in Australia is expected over time.

Online Returns

If you wish to return any item(s) you have purchased, you can either return the item(s) via post to the address below or in person to our Tullamarine (Vic) store within 7 days from the date of delivery. Return postage costs will be at the Purchaser’s expense, unless the item(s) returned is faulty or not as ordered. In this instance, postage will be reimbursed by Bali Abundance after we have been notified of the fault and the items are returned. Please contact our friendly staff on 03 9077 2357 or email annette@baliabundance.com.au if your wish to return an item. Please note, we will not reimburse international or express services. In some instances we may request photos or documentation to be sent through prior to the return of your item.

We encourage you to return your parcel via traceable postal services as all returned parcels remain the responsibility of the purchaser until received by Bali Abundance. A refund or exchange will not be provided until the goods are received at the address below.

Items on 'Sale' will not be exchanged for a change of mind. Credit notes cannot be exchanged or refunded and will expire 3 months from the purchase date. There are no refunds on 'SECOND' items.

If you change your mind on a purchase, we will exchange your item or provide a credit voucher. You must return the item within 7 days (inclusive) from the date you received the goods or placed a deposit to purchase goods.
